Braemar at Wallkill is currently looking for a qualified individual to join its housekeeping department and help maintain exceptional living spaces for its residents. The person who fills this role is responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of all communal living spaces and resident rooms. They should be comfortable arranging furniture, using a wide range of equipment, following workplace safety guidelines and working around senior residents, staff, and volunteers.
Home Health Aide:We currently have multiple openings for energetic, motivated and reliable individuals to join our growing staff as Home Health Aides. Full and part time positions are available from 7:00am-3:00pm and from 3:00pm-11:00pm.
A home health aide provides hands-on care to residents and assists them in meeting their individual needs including activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and grooming. They also provide emotional and psychological support to residents and members of their household. Additionally, a home health aide has exceptional observational skills and is able to note any differences in a resident’s behavior, mental state or physical condition and report changes in a timely manner.
Requirements:
• Home Health Aide certificate
• One year recent care-giving experience
• Flexible schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Licensed Practical Nurse:We are currently looking for motivated and caring individuals to join our LPN staff. Full and part time positions are available from 7:00am-3:00pm and from 3:00pm-11:00pm. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Qualified candidates will need to provide ongoing assessment of resident medical and mental wellbeing, ensure administration of medications and assist residents with personal care and supervision. Individuals will assist Physician/Wellness Director/RN in performing specialized procedures and ensure facility compliance will all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Licensed with two (2) years work experience and/or training. Related work in skilled nursing or assisted living an asset.
• Flexible schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to maintain productivity in a fast paced environment and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
